LUKE UPDATE

Yesterday Luke had his eye checked and there was improvement in his vision and there had been no bleeds so that was great news.
This morning he had quite a lot of pain in the eye and his vision was very poor but as the morning progressed his vision improved and we had an appointment to see a different doctor today, we had to wait two hours and they had lost the notes l don't think they realized the situation at all and didn't know what drops Luke was on; in fact l had to go to the drugs cabinet and try to identify them !! l picked one out that l recognized and was told that it couldn't be that one at all and when l got home it turned out to be the right one !! Luke was told complete bed rest apart from hospital visits and todays doctor said don't come for three days to the clinic and would he be at school that day !! EEERRMM l don't think so l at that point l said that the consultant had specified bed rest or be admitted and l think they regretted leaving us till last to be seen in fact when Luke stood up the nurse had to ask if he felt ok as he was swaying and about to faint - glad she noticed - they did apologize for the wait then. l hope the original doctor is there on Tuesday as he has dealt with the injury from day one. Now Lukes vision has improved and his eye has started to naturally open again his mood is a lot more optimistic.
