Yabby.....
Caught one of these whilst fishing, we put it in our pond yesterday (apparently they keep the ponds clean) I was amazed to see it had escaped this morning. I have been rather sheepishly gardening today!! but didnt see it !! Normally l just worry about spiders and snakes............

Oh my gosh!!! I think spiders and snakes are plenty to worry about.
I sure wouldn't want to get pinched by those claws! I don't blame you for avoiding the gardens.
Dear Tracie ~~ That little thingo is called a yabby in Australia. I think they can be eaten. (Not by me) They do pinch I believe. Take care and don't worry too much. Love, Merle.
