Queue Conversations!!!!

After reading Helens blog about the conversation in the queue it reminded me of an incident a little while back. I wrote out the whole story on Helens comment and low and behold just as l was finishing it mid-sentence the whole thing dissappeared so l thought because of the nature of the story l would give it plenty of blog viewing instead !!!

So here goes........picture the scene l'm taking a brisk walk to the local shop with Claire(9 at the time) and the topic of conversation emerged about the devil ! starting with claire asking "mum who's satan?"
it kind of caught me unawares......l replied saying that satan is the devil and not very nice.
she asked where did he come from? i explained that he was a fallen angel..........angel she says are you sure; as you can imagine we had quite a chat where l spent most of it reaching in the depths of my christian knowledge way back at the back of my brain, l'm ashamed to say.. she said do you believe in the devil? in which l replied l believed there is a devil but prefere to concentrate on God. The conversation kind of fizzled out and we continued walking and eventually arrived a the shop.
We've now filled the basket and are standing in the queue when Claire says rather loudly; mum you know you believe in satan...........in which l abruptly said "CLAIRE" No thats not right...... and then thought l can't explain this one simply enough and ended up just pathetically saying Claire we'll continue this conversation outside. I bet the other queue members were dying to turn around to see who was standing there!!! These things always seem to happen when your ill-prepared don't they? or is it just me!!!!!!!!!!
It does make me giggle when l think about it; as did Helens blog that inspired this.
This is my second attempt to post this - lets see if the gremlins have left the computer yet!!!!
