Well Luke had his final eye clinic appointment and they have said that he doesn't need to come back unless there's a problem.........in the doctors words 'there's not even a dot where the heameriage was (terrible spelling l know!) isn't that amazing so thanks for all the prayers that you've been praying.
Amazingly we have recieved our long awaited letters to go for our medicals for immigration purposes so that will be happening in three weeks time so Luke getting the all clear is great timing - just got to pray that the rest of us will be the same,God willing !!

"whens he coming then"
"don't now Claire it says no-one knows when, only God"
"ooohhh l get it......... he wants it to be a surprise doesn't he?!!"
Lots of Laughing "you could say that" !!

IN THE VALLEY'S.....

Sometimes life seems hard to bear
Full of sorrow, trouble, and woe,
It's then I have to remember
..that it's in the valleys I grow.

If I always stayed on the mountain top
..and never experienced pain,
I would never appreciate God's love
And would be living in vain.

I have so much to learn
And my growth is very slow,
Sometimes I need the mountain tops,
But it's in the valleys I grow.

I do not always understand
Why things happen as they do,
But I am very sure of one thing.
My Lord will see me through

My little valleys are nothing
When I picture Christ on the cross
He went through the valley of death;
His victory was Satan's loss.

Forgive me Lord, for complaining
When I'm feeling so very low.
Just give me a gentle reminder
That it's in the valleys I grow

Continue to strengthen me, Lord
And use my life each day
To share your love with others
And help them find their way.

Thank you for valleys, Lord
For this one thing I know
The mountain tops are glorious
But it's in the valleys I grow.

LUKE

Luke's eye is now making a speedy recovery we havent got to go for another week to the eye clinic; although they said today that there is still quite a lot of inflamation in the eye and blood cells floating about which is causing the occasional blurring, things are healing nicely he still takes painkillers but now has stopped the eyedrops that dilate the pupil so hopefully in about a weeks time his eyes should start to look alike again although it is blue again now. The body is an amazing tool how it repairs itself thanks again for your on-going prayers - God has been amazing - Luke could have quite easily have had long term vision problems but it's looking really promising so far -

HOSPITAL PARKING !!

Can you believe when arriving at the hospital car park for Lukes first appointment at the eye clinic it was so busy and we drove round and round to find a space the whole time l was saying "this is great - we arn't going to get parked - you know we're going to miss the appointment now ! Can you believe l then said to Luke "right Luke keep your eyes peeled for space!!" His reply " your having a laugh right" l then turned and forgot he's travelling with both eyes closed as it's more comfortable for his bad eye - with the sunshine we've been having !!
Thank goodness he found it as funny as l did !!

LUKE UPDATE

Yesterday Luke had his eye checked and there was improvement in his vision and there had been no bleeds so that was great news.
This morning he had quite a lot of pain in the eye and his vision was very poor but as the morning progressed his vision improved and we had an appointment to see a different doctor today, we had to wait two hours and they had lost the notes l don't think they realized the situation at all and didn't know what drops Luke was on; in fact l had to go to the drugs cabinet and try to identify them !! l picked one out that l recognized and was told that it couldn't be that one at all and when l got home it turned out to be the right one !! Luke was told complete bed rest apart from hospital visits and todays doctor said don't come for three days to the clinic and would he be at school that day !! EEERRMM l don't think so l at that point l said that the consultant had specified bed rest or be admitted and l think they regretted leaving us till last to be seen in fact when Luke stood up the nurse had to ask if he felt ok as he was swaying and about to faint - glad she noticed - they did apologize for the wait then. l hope the original doctor is there on Tuesday as he has dealt with the injury from day one. Now Lukes vision has improved and his eye has started to naturally open again his mood is a lot more optimistic.
Many thanks for all your prayers they are much appreciated.

Luke saw the eye consultant and they discovered that the eye chamber was bleeding again so that wasn't so good he has to go back again tommorow l think if it does this again tomorrow they may have to admit him. Poor lad has done nothing all day but they were convinced that he has exerted himself in some way putting pressure on the eye. probably when he did up his shoes or maybe his hayfever isn't helping as he mustn't dare sneeze !! hopefully the medication for his eye will really start to take affect and there will be improvment when we go back.

Had to have the pet rabbit put to sleep this morning so that was very sad as he was a real cutie but was old and had a few complications it was the vets advice still didn't make it any easier though.

Please Pray.

Hi bloggers please pray for our son Luke. Today whilst opening a large bottle of lemonade it exploded with the loudest bang ever and the top went into lukes eye, he was taken up to broomfield and sent straight from casualty to the eye clinic where he was examined - he has massive eye trama (front chamber filled with blood) the bottle top has imprinted onto the eye surface leaving scratches he's destined to total bed rest apart from daily trips to the clinic and of course toilet - no computer !! His A-levels start this monday and his driving test was booked for 2 1/2 weeks time, he is so dissapointed. He will see the consultant tomorrow to get his opinion the eye doctor today said he hopes that lukes will make a full recovery but doesn't know if his vision will be as good as it was.
he has painkillers and two different sorts of eyedrops that have to be inserted 4 and 3 times a day.
Please pray that his eye will heal really really quickly and that there will be no lasting damage oh and that he won't be too grumpy as a 17 year old teenage patient !!
Believe it or not the appointment made for the eye clinic turned out to be the same as the rabbits appointment again !! but it's ok we can sort both this time !!
Thanks - will keep you informed.

What a decision !!
Today has been one of those days:-
Since moving house we havent been able to let our pet rabbit out, he used to have the run of the last garden but here on one side is a hedge and l wouldn't risk him escaping, but being wintertime it hasn't mattered too much as we've never let him out much at this time of year previously - he's about 5/6 ?
we got him when he was about one but only to give him a better life as his previous owner couldn't look after him any longer, anyway get to the point !!
A few weeks back we noticed a big clump of poo and had the awful job of trying to remove it buy dunking the poor bunny in water and anyway nuff said about that - we thought that having that problem removed, things would soon get back to normal for Fudge that was until today. I was walking past the hutch when l noticed the most awful smell (the girls have been feeding and cleaning hutch most of the time in recent weeks) the smell turned out to be Fudge. We rang the vet and described his symptoms - won't go there !! - we had to take him and get across town in 15 minutes before the vet left the practice - just made it.
Turns out for one reason or another that he has got sticky bottom that could turn very easily to Flystrike the choice is too either daily wash and thoughrouly dry him without doistressing him too much or put him to sleep. l was told the washing would be a big commitment but thought whatever it takes me and the girls would give it our best shot.
Vet gave him antibiotic injection and told me to come back tomorrow at only available
appoint. 11.40 and tell of decision !!
Well off to Pet smart to buy shampoo fly spray and hutch deoderant stuff - came home and tried to wash rabbits tail end rather unsucessfully the girls can't hold him very well as he has never been handled that much and drying him with a hairdryer as was suggested by the vet is another story completely the whole time l have claire asking if we're going to put him to sleep and all the questions that a nine year old asks about pets dying !!The whole episode took about 1 1/2 hours !!
I have now remembered that my cousin is coming from Herfordshire for some hospital results to be given at broomfield and l'm providing a lift, lunch for four extra, and looking after her new baby and you've guessed it her appointment is at 11.40.
WHAT A DILEMMA !!
l can't stand the thought of the rabbits destiny being in my hands the whole washing thing is really stressfull for all involved but the thought of the decision of him living or not is dreadful too..........HELP !!!
